JAY-Z PRAISES EMINEM & SNOOP DOGG IN LETTERMAN INTERVIEW PREVIEW

Dating back to Jay Z's first appearance on David Letterman's couch back in 1998, the two have a long history of memorable conversations.
On April 6, they'll add another interview to the list when Netflix releases the next episode of Letterman's new series, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction. In a new preview clip, which you can watch below, Jay speaks about the different ways rappers like Snoop Dogg and Eminem have achieved greatness.
"You can have a great voice and you can just almost say anything," Jay tells Letterman. "I think Snoop Dogg has a great voice. Like, he can say, 'One, two, three, and to the four,' and it's like, 'Oh my god.' It just sounds good, right? It just sounds really good."
On Eminem, Jay explains: "Or you can be someone like Eminem and just have amazing cadence." After mimicking one of Eminem's signature flows, he explains, "It's percussion inside the music."
"So, there's multiple ways to be really good," he adds. "Some people just have it all."
In another short trailer available only to Netflix subscribers, Jay Z levels with Letterman about life similarities that the two share. "We both have the same fears," he notes. "We both have the same angst about our children growing up." Later, they laugh about one difference: As a teenager, Letterman made extra money by getting a paper route, while Jay Z sold crack. Jay jokes, "That was my paper route."
